 *Provincial Management Service (Selection from Ministerial Quota)*

As Per Service Rules:

By selection on merit from among the civil servants holding respective posts regularly in BS-05 to BS-16 with a Master’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree (4 years) or LLB from a recognized university, serving under the Government, and having the following experience:

– *For Officials in BS-11 to BS-16:* 05 years
– *For Officials in BS-05 to BS-10:* 08 years

Moreover the candidates must fulfill all other preconditions for the examination as given in this advertisement, and instructions for the candidates are available on the PPSC website. The candidates will produce the original certificates at the time of the interview.

Important Notes:

1. A candidate obtaining 40% marks in each subject and 50% marks in the aggregate to qualify. Candidates who qualify will be called at a 1:5 ratio for the interview.
2. Furthermore negative marking will be done, and 0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer in the MCQ-type paper.
3. Changing the priority/selection of examination centers shall not be allowed.

Syllabus for Written Examination:

The written examination will be conducted in the following three subjects. Total: 150 Marks

1. *General Ability Paper* (100 Marks)

– General Knowledge
– Pakistan Affairs
– English Grammar and Islamic Studies
– (General Knowledge for Non-Muslim Candidates)

2. *English Essay* (25 Marks)

3. *Urdu Essay* (25 Marks)

Psychological Assessment and Viva Voce (200 Marks)

 Phases of Examination:

– *Phase-I:* All candidates will only be called for a written test in the General Knowledge paper.
– *Phase-II:* Candidates obtaining 40% marks (40 out of 100) in the General Knowledge paper will be called for a written test of the remaining papers: English Essay and Urdu Essay.

2. In case a candidate claims that his/her qualification is equivalent to the prescribed qualification, he/she will be required to submit an equivalence certificate of his/her foreign/local qualification issued by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) or the Qualification Equivalence Determination Committee (QEDC) of the concerned department, which will be accepted by the Commission as final, at the time of the interview or whenever asked by the Commission. Moreover, if a candidate fails to submit an equivalence certificate, his/her candidature shall be canceled.

3. In-service candidates will ensure while applying for a particular post(s) that they have obtained applied-for NOC/DPC from their concerned department(s) and will provide the same at the time of the interview (if called).

4. Moreover the candidates will ensure while applying for a particular post(s) that they have obtained/applied for registration certificates from PEC/PNC/PMDC/PMC/PVMC or other relevant regulatory bodies or will provide the same at the time of the interview (if called).
